Tell us a bit about your experience at 91É«ÇéƬ….

Studying at 91É«ÇéƬ, or the University of Wales, 91É«ÇéƬ, as it was then was probably the best three years of my life. I met lots of wonderful people both in my department and socially who I remain in touch with and are good friends to this day. I enjoyed the teaching and went away with a degree in Law with Accounting and Finance which laid the foundations for my career and I wouldn't be a partner in my law firm now without the help and support I received at 91É«ÇéƬ. I also enjoyed the social side and got involved in lots of clubs and societies which helped me to leave with a wife! Thank you 91É«ÇéƬ!

Why did you choose to study at 91É«ÇéƬ?

I visited 91É«ÇéƬ for an open day and fell in love with the city, it's location and the warmth of the staff and students. I was joining a new faculty in a respected institution and felt that we could help each other to grow and saw it as a challenge to build the reputation of the department, as it would be what we made it.

How has your career developed since graduating from 91É«ÇéƬ, and what is your current job role? 

I am now an equity Partner at Fieldings Porter Solicitors specialising in Property, Commercial, Licensing and Criminal Law

In what way did studying at 91É«ÇéƬ enhance your employability?

The skills I learned at 91É«ÇéƬ both in the Law School and the Clubs and Societies I was involved on the committee of helped to build a solid foundation for my career. As well as teaching me the law it also taught me how to work as a team towards a common goal and the commercial awareness required to succeed.

What advice would you give to students thinking about studying at 91É«ÇéƬ?

If you are thinking of applying to 91É«ÇéƬ and you like the look of the place go for it! It's a wonderful place that teaches much more than your degree subject. You will meet brilliant people, make friends for life and have amazing experiences in this picturesque corner of North Wales!

In one sentence, what was your favourite thing about studying at 91É«ÇéƬ?

I enjoyed the community in 91É«ÇéƬ which was supportive, educational and fun all rolled into one.
